Welcome to the world of Spider Solitaire! This classic card game, which I fondly remember from my childhood, has been recreated with care and dedication. With over 12 hours of coding effort put into it, I've designed a game that blends strategy and fun, and I hope you'll enjoy it. The primary objective in Spider Solitaire is to arrange columns of cards in descending order from King to Ace. The complete sequence must consist of cards from the same suit—be it Spades, Hearts, Clubs, or Diamonds. For a straightforward challenge, you might prefer playing with only one suit, but if you're seeking an extra layer of difficulty, try using all four suits. While this increases the challenge, it also rewards you with more points when you successfully complete columns.
Moving the cards is intuitive; you simply drag them to the desired column. You can shift individual cards one at a time, ensuring they follow the required order, irrespective of their suit. For example, you can place an 8 of Spades atop a 9 of Hearts. If you're managing multiple cards, they can be dragged together as long as they share the same suit and follow the correct sequence. For instance, only a 3 of Hearts, a 2 of Hearts, and an Ace of Hearts can be stacked together and placed on a 4 of Hearts.
When you find yourself out of possible moves, don't worry! You can draw from the stock cards located at the bottom left of the screen. A new row of cards will be added to the tableau. However, remember that you can only use stock cards if there are no empty columns available. Get ready to test your skills and enjoy a game that combines nostalgia with a challenging edge!
