Introducing the 3D Terrain Generator, a dynamic tool crafted for generating stunning 3D landscapes and simulating hydraulic erosion. Built on advanced algorithms and high-level coding from my image editing software, this generator allows you to create intricate terrains quickly and easily. Whether you choose to generate terrains using Perlin noise or import your own height maps, the possibilities are virtually endless.
The user-friendly interface guides you through a series of steps across four dedicated tabs, allowing for straightforward customization of various settings. Each tab features editable text fields and interactive sliders, enabling you to fine-tune values to your liking. Just remember to click the appropriate button, such as “run” or “generate,” to make your changes come to life.
Many view modes are available at your fingertips, allowing you to examine your terrain from multiple perspectives. You can toggle between a greyscale height map, a normal map, or a textured colour map, while also choosing between 2D and 3D visualizations. This versatility ensures you can see your creations from every angle and in various formats.
In addition to basic controls, a bottom-right button grants access to additional settings that enrich the customization process. Users will also find informative text accompanying most inputs, offering helpful guidance and tips. Various tags are utilized to clarify specific parameters, including factors for multiplication, terrain units for measurement, pixel information, and various percentages. With every tool at your disposal, you can dive into a detailed world of terrain creation.
