Futurama
Futurama is an animated science fiction sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company that has transcended the boundaries of traditional animation. The narrative revolves around Philip J. Fry, a pizza delivery boy from late-20th-century New York City who finds himself unintentionally frozen for a millennium. The concept of Futurama was conceived in the mid-1990s while Groening was also working on The Simpsons. He enlisted David X. Despite the series ending, Futurama continued to engage fans through reruns on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim from 2003 to 2007, enjoying a dedicated following. The franchise was revived in 2007 with the release of four direct-to-video films, the last of which hit the shelves in early 2009. Comedy Central later partnered with 20th Century Fox Television to bring back earlier episodes and present the films as 16 new, half-hour episodes, effectively constituting a fifth season and reigniting the love for this eclectic show.
